Leadership · Governance · Speaking

Pressure does not remove a leader’s choices. It reveals their discipline.

I am Peter Gladdish. I spent twenty years building a tax consultancy from a few thousand pounds of turnover to a seven-figure business, sold it, and discovered how much of who I was had been sitting inside a job title. Getting that back taught me more about leadership than the twenty years did, and it left me with one question: why do some leaders hold their shape when the weather turns, and others quietly stop being who they said they were?

What I actually do

I help leaders close the gap between what they say and what they do.

Intentions are one thing. Actions are another. It is a great deal easier to make the two match on a sunny day, and most leadership advice is written for sunny days. My work starts where the forecast turns: the decision nobody wants to own, the board that has never been asked an awkward question, the founder who cannot let go of the thing they built.

All of it runs on lived experience rather than borrowed theory. I have made most of the mistakes I coach people out of, which saves everybody a certain amount of time.

He who does nothing wrong does nothing at all.
